La prima campagna di “guerrilla marketing” fu probabilmente quella organizzata nel 1910 per il voto in favore del suffragio femminile e fu realizzata a Lawrence, nel Massachusetts.

Nella prima foto, Margaret Foley si prepara a salire sulla mongolfiera per distribuire volantini pro-suffragio. La seconda foto la ritrae in volo, mentre agita lo stendardo “Votes for Women” e lancia i volantini che lentamente scendono verso terra.
